Only Friends Episode 1: Recap

Only Friends had a sizzling start with the release of its first episode. In the episode, we get a pretty overview of the characters and their desires. A group of four friends Mew, Ray, Boston, and Namchueam, got together through college projects and are now running a hostel as a project to establish their businesses in the future.

But things don’t go as expected when all four get distracted by their fight with love and sex.

Mew is a nerd of the group, who believes in soft romance and focuses on life practically. Boston is a complete playboy for whom hooking up is regular. Ray is a soft boy but pretends to be tough from the outside, and he has some feelings for Mew too. Whereas, Namchueam is the only simple lesbian in the group.

In the first episode, Boston introduces Top to the group as their project designer. Gradually, Top starts flirting with Mew. Mew tries to avoid him but, after spending a night together, finds him interesting. Both officially become boyfriends. However, it’s still difficult to say if Top is genuine about Mew. Because he says suspicious things to Boston, and Boston also isn’t happy seeing Top hooking up with Mew.

Whereas Ray is jealous of the entry of Top in the group and Mew hanging out with him. In his grudging times, he meets Sand, who is the singer in the bar the group usually hangout. Ray was drunk, and neither of his friends was picking up his call. Sand encounters him and ends up taking him to his home because Ray is completely drunk.

The next day, Ray finds himself in someone else’s place and thinks he was robbed by Sand. Sand explains the situation and yells at him to leave. However, the next day both resolve the misunderstanding and share the same lighter.

Meanwhile, Boston finds his new prey when he goes to a phone repair shop. And from there, he gets into a friend with a beneficial relationship with Nick. But Nick’s feelings seem true to Boston.
