Sonic suggested to Flash that they should build an ideal village in the previous chapter. Readers are curious to find out how they would reform their village in One Punch Man Chapter 202.
Flash and Sonic met Empty Void but they already remembered him from the basement, and Sonic considered that Empty Void was a beast.
Flash told Empty Void that slurping the blood and guts of his village student as an entrance fits him quite well. As he did not consider it perverse rather found it plain revolting.
Empty Void was quite impressed that Flash already knew his name. He believed that Flash must have had a meeting with Blast, so he asked Flash to give him some updates about Blast.
Empty Void mentioned to Flash that he was planning to eat up Blast’s entrails too. The two of them got into an intense fight after Empty Void’s degrading comments.
Sonic was shocked after finding out that Empty Void was a genjutsu user. Flash warned Sonic about Empty Void’s killing method and reminded her that it was very easy for Empty Void to kill them both by using his genjutsu technique.
Sonic confirmed to Flash that she was not shocked at all, she explained to him that she could see right through Empty Void’s techniques.
She informed Empty Void he could never fool her eyes with his silly tricks. Empty Void was using his little bluff against Flash and Sonic but it was not working at all.
Flash told Empty Void he had been watching his fighting style and it was exactly how he expected it to be. Even though it was a bit different to the conforming style of the guys who adhered to the village.
Empty Void informed Flash he had passed his test, and he consumed a cube in front of them. Sonic informed Flash that the cube was the thing which was enshrined in the basement.
Recap
Empty Void told Sonic she was useless as Flash’s partner. Flash reminded Empty Void to not measure them by his disgusting standards.
Flash and the other guys both were robbed of their lives as human beings by the void. He was glad that they got the chance to settle it there in a symbolic place.
Flash informed Empty Void that he sent Blast away, and made it clear that he was not as naive as him. Flash made a vow to make Empty Void spit out everything he knew about the thing that he knew about the thing which was controlling him.
Sonic noticed that whenever Empty Void got mad she got very overwhelmed. Since Flash excelled at combat in the dark, where he had to rely on just his senses.
He was confident that Empty Void’s genjutsu technique was not going to work on him. However, Empty Void proved him wrong and attacked him from every direction.
Flash had a hard time tackling it, even with all his senses. It was not just visual manipulation, the source was a psychic wave that found the target’s fear and then personified it.
Flash was extremely scared, Empty Void was excited to see that even Flash could make that kind of face. Flash informed Sonic he had heard that Empty Void had accepted a monster cell.
To provoke their inferiority complex and soon succumb to temptation and accept the power. So it was out of the question, Flash finally gained her consciousness.
Sonic informed Flash she was glad that she deserted the village with him, she was excited that Flash it there the place of the dream they had sworn upon.
Flash informed Sonic he had a scary dream, Sonic told him reminded him any nightmare was better than their life in the village.
