Mitsui expressed excitement and gratitude regarding the anime adaptation announcement. She remarked that it was unbelievable that “Koishima” was being made into an anime.
She recalled that when the manga first launched in December 2020, she had never imagined this day would come. Mitsui conveyed thanks to all the readers who had supported the series thus far.
Mitsui also mentioned looking forward to seeing her beloved characters brought to life in animated form and showcasing their “sparkling youth” in the anime adaptation.
Specifically, she cited the main protagonist Mizuho, and her childhood friends Teruzuki, Fuka, Ai, and Shugo as characters she can’t wait to see in motion.
As of now, seven compiled manga volumes of Anyway, I’m Falling in Love With You have been published by Kodansha’s Nakayoshi magazine since the series began serialization in November 2020.
The eighth volume is scheduled for release on March 13th, 2024, shortly after the anime adaptation announcement.
