Exciting news for One Piece fans and Nintendo Switch owners. The addition of the Reunion of Memories DLC and new outfits in the Deluxe Edition sounds like a treat.
With the game’s release set for July 26 (July 25 in Japan), it won’t be long before players can set sail on their own odyssey in One Piece.
The Reunion of Memories DLC takes place after the game’s main story, where the Straw Hat Crew return to Memoria, the world of their memories.
The One Piece Odyssey game initially launched for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam in January 2023, delayed from the originally planned 2022 release.
Luffy and the Straw Hat crew revisit the world of their memories in the game. ILCA, known for their work on Pokémon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl, developed the JRPG, while Bandai Namco Entertainment produced it.
The original manga creator, Eiichiro Oda, is credited for the original story and character/monster designs, and Motoi Sakuraba, known for the Tales of series, composed the music.
The game inspired a novel adaptation in the One Piece Magazine mook (magazine book) released in March 2023.
Jun Esaka, known for works such as Naruto: Sasuke’s Story The Uchiha and the Heavenly Stardust, and One Piece Heroines novels, wrote the new novel, while Nakamaru provided the illustrations.
