BRIEF SUMMARY IS OUT – MORE BEING ADDED NOW
One Piece Chapter 1175 Brief Spoilers | Chapter 1175: Nidhogg
- At the beginning of the chapter, Sanji uses Diable Jambe to burn away Sommers’ thorns that were enveloping Robin.
- Zoro cuts the thorns around the hostage children, and Luffy praises him: “As expected of you, Zoro! I believed in you!”
- Luffy and Loki save the children and bring them near Jarul.

- In a flashback, Jarul reveals Loki’s Devil Fruit: The Dragon-Dragon Fruit, Mythical Zoan Model: Nidhogg.
- Jarul says that no matter who eats it, the user becomes the largest dragon in the world, but the size of that dragon is proportional to the size of whoever eats it. That’s why its full potential can only be drawn out by an ancient giant.
- Jarul also says that in Elbaph, a certain “God of War” possessed the Nidhogg Devil Fruit and wielded a weapon called “Ragnir,” and clashed with the Sun God in the past.
- Jarul adds that the “God of War” was said to be accompanied by his loyal confidant, the “Ice Squirrel Ratatoskr.”
- Luffy uses a new Gear 5 technique in this chapter against Sommers. It is called Gomu Gomu no Dawn Thor Rifle, a Gear 5 version of Gomu Gomu no Thor Rifle (used in Dressrosa). His gigantic fist connects with Sommers’ entire body, brutally electrocuting him—LOL.
- Loki defeats most of the MMA (Dream) monsters with his lightning powers.
- Imu, in the Holy Land, reacts to Loki and says, “I see… Nidhogg… You… were in Elbaph all along!!”
ADDITIONAL SPOILERS & DETAILS FOR ONE PIECE 1175
Clarification – Imu’s main body is still in mariejois, fully present while Imu is also present in Gunko’s body in Elbaph
– When the God of War passed away, legend says Ratatsokr’s spirit took residence within the hammer.
– It guarded its master’s Devil Fruit, which is Niddhogg Devil Fruit, holding onto it until a successor strong and worthy enough would finally claim it.
– Clarification – Loki’s devil fruit might be really special because it allowed him to use Devil Fruit powers while tied up with seastone.
Ragnir, which is Ratatoskr Squirrel, who has Ice Powers
Loki, who is Nidhogg Dragon, who has Lightning Powers
And he used both of them.
New Type of “Locked” Devil Fruits introduced in this chapter by Jarul – more details with summary – wait for it.
On the left, you can see Imu’s real form; in the center, you can see Loki’s dragon form; and on the right, you can see a serpent which is most likely Dragon. Allow me to explain.
Jarul reveals a new type of Devil Fruit where anyone who eats it “becomes the largest dragon in the world,” but the real power can only be drawn out by an Ancient Giant. This suggests there could be a Devil Fruit whose true power can only be drawn out by a member of the D. Clan, which could be Dragon.

In the Elbaph Harley Mural, you can see three monsters. As of Chapter 1175, we already know about two of them: Imu and Loki. This means the third one has to be Dragon, as he is the most wanted man in the world. If it were anyone “normal,” even the Admirals could deal with them; however, look at Loki, no Admiral can do anything to him.
These new types of Devil Fruits, which seem to be the rarest of the rare, are depicted in the mural. There are only three: the first was eaten by Imu, the second by Loki, and the third was likely eaten by Dragon.
GOT MORE SPOILERS COMING SOON, AGAIN. CHECK BACK LATER.
More SUMMARY – wait for detailed summary
This week Spoilers are very complete, so I can only add these details of the chapter by myself. Chapter of 17 pages.
Chapter 1,175: “Nidhogg” (“–” in Japanese, kanjis (mean “Thunder Dragon”).
Reader request in the cover: “Sabo being surrounded by baby koalas”. Koala is having tea and eucalyptus leaves with an adult koala while Sabo looks after baby koalas.
Chapter starts with Sanji releasing Robin from Sommers’ vines with “Diable Jambe” (he kicks and destroys the vines). Loki and Luffy (that still wears his original clothes, not Oda’s mistake in last chapter) take the children and their relatives to the Western Village near where Jarul is.
Sommers is furious because the plan has gone awry, so he decides to shoot thorns to the children relatives (who are still very injured from trying to save the children a little while earlier). But the children decide to line up in front of their relatives to stop the thorns.
Ripley: “Please, Colon!! Run!!” Colon: “I won’t!! I will protect you, mommy!!!”
Fortunately Zoro arrives just in time and blocks all the thorns.
Luffy: “Good job Zoro!! I knew I can trust you!! Hahaha!!” Zoro: “Figured that’s what you had in mind, now do it!!” Sommers: “What the hell!? Who is that!!!”
Luffy grabs with his left hand a lightning bolt from a cloud and uses his right hand as a telescopic sight to keep his eyes on Sommers. Then Luffy attacks Sommers with a new technique.
Luffy: “Gomu Gomu no Dawn Thor Rifle!!!” (“” in Japanese, kanjis mean “White Thunder Rotating Bullet”)
In a double page spread Luffy’s giant punch hits savagely Sommers’ body and electrocutes him at the same time. The attack is so powerful that Sommers’ body breaks into pieces (we see how Sommers loses his teeth as his face splits into several parts).
But Sommers’ suffering does not end here… In another AMAZING double page, Loki stomped on Sommers
Then, in a little flashback, Jarul remembers what happened when Loki left the “Aurust Castle” after he killed Harald. Jarul explained what’s the fruit Loki ate to Gaban and Shanks.
Jarul: “Loki ate “Ryu Ryu no Mi” (Dragon Dragon Fruit) mythical type model “Nidhogg”!! Whoever eats it will obtain the form of the world’s largest dragon… However, the limit to how large one can get wielding its power is dependent on the user’s original size…
And so, compare to a “Human” a “Giant” can draw out more of the fruit’s potential… And an “Ancient Giant” can draw out even more than a “Giant”. At its largest, this thunder breathing pitch black dragon is said to be able to turn day into night when it takes flight.”
Shanks: “So you guys decided to forbid anyone from eating it, due to how dangerous the power is?” Jarul: “… No, that is not it. If one attempts to eat it, the guarding hammer “Ragnir” will interfere!!
In Elbaph, we have a legend regarding a warring deity, who is said to wield the weapon “Ragnir”. They say he turned into a gigantic dragon and WENT AGAINST the “Sun God”…!! And beside him was his trusted servant, Ratatoskr the “Ice Squirrel”.
When the warring deity died, Ratatoskr’s spirit passed into his master’s hammer.
And ever since, “Ragnir” has protected that Akuma no Mi until someone powerful enough could inherit it!!”
Back to the present, Loki is focussed now in the MMA monsters. In the final double page of the chapter, Loki shoots a MASSIVE lightning attack from his mouth called “Thor Heim” (in Japanese, kanji mean “Thunder World”). The attack creates a HUGE explosion with normal and black lightnings, and destroys most of the MMA monsters.
Chapter ends with Imu/Gunko looking at Loki, Luffy and Ragnir as MMA monsters are vanishing. Then there is a change of scene to Mary Geoise. Real Imu is standing in the “Room of Flowers” and we see Imu’s furious eyes in last panel of the chapter…
Imu: “I see… Nidhogg… That’s where thou have been all this time!!!”
ADDITIONAL SPOILERS
By the way, when Jarul talks about the legend of Elbaph’s warrior deity, we see an image of that battle. On one side is Elbaph’s warrior deity (a very muscular giant with a white beard/mustache and a horned helmet), holding the hammer “Ragnir” in his hands.
Beside him is Ratatoskr (the “Ice Squirrel”), who is slightly different from the present-day squirrel associated with Ragnir, since Ratatoskr has pointed ears and the markings on its fur are somewhat different.
Then we see the “Sun God,” who looks very similar to the image we saw when Who’s-Who mentioned him in Onigashima (with the sword, shield, loincloth, hair like Luffy’s Gear 5, etc.).
However, the image shown in the chapter doesn’t seem like an illustration from a book or anything like that—it looks like a real scene of the two of them fighting. And the “Sun God” could easily pass for Luffy; they look almost identical.
–extra
From all the details it looks like that God of war and Sun God are from The first world (you can check the elbaph mural. This is way before Joyboy.
Joyboy was 800 years ago, and this was 2000-3000 years before, same as the giant robot from Elbaph.
Back to the present, Loki is focussed now in the MMA monsters. In the ABSOLUTELY EPIC final double page of the chapter, Loki shoots a MASSIVE lightning attack from his mouth called “Thor Heim”.
The attack creates a HUGE explosion with normal and black lightnings, and destroys most of the MMA monsters.
