Bull season 2 episode 9 was titled “False Positive”. First, two plain-clothed undercover cops shoot a man they mistook for someone else. After some time has passed, Chunk informs Bull of the situation. He’d like to be the man’s mother’s representative. They are on their way to meet her. She informs them about Corey and how unique he was. The woman received a settlement from the city, but she has no intention of spending it. And she intends to prevent other mothers from losing their sons.
Marissa is having lunch with an opposing firm when Bull and Chunk leave. The firm’s owner tries to cover for her, but Marissa informs Bull that it is a job interview. He’s taken aback. They squabble in the office. She hoped Benny’s office and position would be offered to her. Bull’s wife enters at that precise moment. She requires Benny’s office key. He assured her that she could use it. Marissa storms out, enraged and informs Taylor, who is also having a bad day, that her computer has been hacked.
Chunk Has A Bad Day In Court
Chunk is attempting to prove his case in court for Corey’s wrongful death. Bull seeks assistance from Taylor, but their system is still down. Until the fire alarm goes off, Chunk tries to make his case. Bull was the name of the game. He eventually buys Chunk, who then returns to the courtroom to argue that the facial record software sold to the cops is deceptive. The judge gives his approval for the case to proceed. Bull returns to his office. He and Marissa are at odds once more. He tells her that he will be in charge of the board in this case. She comes into contact with his wife. She lets out a sigh. Bull’s wife informs her of her importance.
Taylor tracks down her hacker and makes her a $5 million offer. They become friends after the woman realizes Taylor’s talent. Bull is in charge of the board while Chunk is in court. Chunk interrogates the officers who shot Corey. Until the jury learns that the white cop’s partner is African American, Chunk has the jury on his side. Corey’s mother walks out of the courtroom. Bull and his wife talk about Marissa later that night. If Marissa leaves, she gives him a lot to think about. In the meantime, Taylor and her new wing woman set about hacking one of her hackers.
Bull Denies an NYPD Request
Bull joins with Marissa and gives her everything she requested. She tells him she needs some time, but she eventually agrees. The biometric identification company contacts Chunk. They want to make a decision. They refuse to sell to the New York City Police department in any part of the state. Corey’s mother, on the other hand, is unable to reveal the deal. She decides not to do it. They’re trying to silence her, and she’ll never get justice for her son’s death. Bull and Chunk believe she is making the best decision possible.
The CEO Gets The Handcuffs
Corey’s mother takes the stand and describes how an algorithm misidentified her son. They eventually lose the case. Corey’s mother is relieved that she was able to speak up for her son. Bull isn’t convinced that everything is in order. When the company knew they were going to win, why would they settle? Taylor obtains financial records and other evidence to show that the facial recognition software company is deceptive. Overnight, the company declares bankruptcy and the CEO is arrested. Marissa calls to decline her job with Lena, but he sweetens the deal by offering a partnership. She’s on her way to tell Bull. Lena recognizes her value. She bids farewell. He can’t say anything.
