Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint Chapter 169 is going to be the next of the series, and it will continue with Dokja and his struggles in the land of the constellations. So far, Dokja has made great progress in the Constellation banquet and has managed to keep his composure, but as the story succession event draws near, he would have to stay focused as even the slightest mistake could mean his end.
The last chapter of Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint was a satisfying sight indeed as the fans saw the smug Iris get humbled by the constellations. Not just that, the fans also got to meet their favorite Constellations they have seen so far in the series, even though they were not in their true forms.
As the story progresses further, we can hope to see even more of them, but for now, rejoice as the Queen of the underworld, Persephone, is back in the story!
Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint Chapter 168: Recap
The chapter opens up with all the incarnations entering the constellations’ area on the first-floor banquet hall. The Dokkaebi urges all the incarnations to be respectful towards the constellations as they all have great names.
In the hall, one can find various objects like paintings, masks, and even coins floating around in the area. These objects aren’t ordinary because they are all the forms taken by the constellations to avoid plausibility.
As Iris and Selena walk into the hall, they get showered with praises and get called by their nicknames. Iris turns towards Dokja and makes a smug face because she feels arrogant. The Constellations watch the incarnations enter the hall with excitement, but they all go quiet as Dokja enters. Dokja wonders if they became quiet because he’s not popular enough, and Iris starts laughing at this turn of events.
Suddenly the entire hall erupts in praise of Kim Dokja, and all the constellations recall the fables created by him. Some Constellations like the Naval War God, King Heunmu, and Bald General of Justice even approach Dokja to talk to him. Some Constellations sponsor coins to Dokja just so he would look their way, and they all compliment his looks. Iris gets terrified by the popularity of Dokja.
Next enters Junghyook, and he also is met with huge cheers from “the supreme king,” and the constellations go crazy over his looks which is to be expected.
Iris starts feeling ashamed of her actions when the screens suddenly display her rude behavior earlier, which makes the constellations mad at her. Iris becomes embarrassed, but Dokja doesn’t pay much attention to her as he gets reminded of what Dionysus told him.
Dokja then meets some other Constellations whom he met during the scenarios earlier, and they all have a conversation even though Dokja feels weird talking to floating objects.
Dokja notices a strange man sitting on the stairs towards the second floor and asks the constellations to tell him about that man. The Constellations tell him that that man is Goryeo’s top Swordsman and the strongest among the historical figures.
Suddenly the guards of the underworld arrive on the first floor and tell Dokja that the queen wants to meet him. Dokja notices Junghyook also going to the second floor, and so he agrees. While going up the stairs, Goryeo’s top Swordsman gets into an argument with the guards as he doesn’t like to bow in front of the constellations on the second floor.
The argument heats up, and they pull out their weapons to fight, but suddenly a voice comes from the second floor, which stops everyone. Dokja turns around to see Persephone standing atop the stairs smiling at him.
Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint Chapter 169: Spoilers
In Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint Chapter 169, we’ll finally see the start of the story succession event. Dokja will go to the second floor along with Persephone and witness the constellations from Vedas, Edens, Olympus, and Non-Nebula.
Some notable ones among these are The Great Sage Heavens Equal and The Demonic Judge of Fire Uriel. Even though this won’t be stated explicitly in the chapter, the fans can easily guess this. Persephone, even though she agreed to help Dokja, is also enjoying this moment as if she’s feasting upon some delicious steak.
