Kei and Yui go back to school to attend their classes, but Ren comes to their class while crying and tells Kei that it was all her fault that Yo hurt himself. Yo cut his genitalia, but he could not proceed with that, and his mother found him inside his room. He faints after his attempt, and he is admitted to a hospital. Kei was looking at Yo’s empty seat, and then the teacher announced that Yo had gotten injured and was admitted to a hospital. He tells him there was an accident at home and he hurt himself with a knife.
The other students began to pass comments and started calling him clutz and saying how he needed to get his act together. One student commented that he was brooding over something lately, so he probably might have done that on purpose. After hearing the announcement, Kei runs out of the classroom without asking for permission. Even though Yui follows her out of the class, Kei begins to blame herself for Yo’s accident.
Yui asks her if Kei hurt himself on purpose. Kei answers that he would never do such a thing. Yui confesses that she is the one who wants to die the most, so she follows her along. Kei, Yui, and Ren learn that Yo tried to cut his genitals, and Kei was shocked by his confession.
Yo confessed that he did it so he could get closure with Kei, but he could not do it. But even so, he was able to crack into it. Yo tells him together that he wants to escape beyond boyhood or girlhood. Yo asks her to escape with him together.
