Nintendo is increasing repair costs for the Nintendo Switch 2 and the original Nintendo Switch in Japan, citing rising prices for replacement parts. According to the company’s official Japanese repair notice, the revised prices will apply to consoles received for repair from November 16, 2026.

The Nintendo Switch 2 CPU board repair price will rise from 27,500 yen to 37,400 yen. Meanwhile, repairs involving the original Nintendo Switch CPU will increase from 16,500 yen to 26,400 yen.

Repairs involving LCD units and other internal components will also become more expensive. However, the reported changes do not affect Joy-Con controllers, Joy-Con 2, docks, Pro Controllers, or cameras.

Nintendo previously increased repair prices in Japan in 2025. The latest revision is currently announced for Japan, with no equivalent increases confirmed for other regions. The revised prices are estimates, and final repair charges may vary depending on the damage and components requiring replacement, according to Nintendo Support.
