Nintendo has released another batch of Switch 1 backward compatibility fixes for Switch 2, improving the way several older games run on the newer console. The September 2026 update covers 22 games, with notable titles including Attack on Titan 2, Go Vacation, and Ninja Five-O now listed as working properly.
According to Nintendo, several of these changes are connected to the console’s latest Switch 2 firmware update, version 23.0.0. Nintendo has continued addressing compatibility problems since the Switch 2 launched, gradually expanding the number of older games that work correctly on the new hardware.
22 Switch Games Receive Compatibility Fixes
The latest batch includes games across several genres, ranging from RPGs and visual novels to action games and simulation titles. Alongside Attack on Titan 2, Go Vacation, and Ninja Five-O, the updated lineup includes Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth3 V Generation, Monster Menu: The Scavenger’s Cookbook, Terraformers, Tiny Lands, The Wild Case, and What the Dub.
Nintendo also continues to track games that remain affected by progression-related compatibility problems. Herdling, ILA: A Frosty Glide, Lost Twins 2, Operation: Tango, Rain World, and Slay the Princess: The Pristine Cut are still listed as unsupported in this area.
Meanwhile, Colors Live can still experience audio problems in certain sections. Nintendo indicates that the issue could be addressed through a future backward compatibility update.
With another 22 games receiving fixes, Nintendo’s ongoing effort shows that Switch 2 backward compatibility remains a continuing priority more than a year after launch.
