The official website for the TV anime NieR: Automata Ver1.1a. announced the highly-anticipated premiere date of its second cour in Japan, slated for July 5, 2024. Accompanying this announcement is an attractive key visual for the upcoming cour, freshly illustrated by Jun Nakai, who also serves as the series’s character designer and chief animation director.
The opening theme song for the second cour, “Black Box,” performed by the renowned singer LiSA, has also been revealed. This evocative anthem has already left its mark in the anime’s latest trailer, stirring anticipation among fans.
