Actor Nicky Katt, known for his iconic roles in ’90s indie films like Dazed and Confused, has passed away at the age of 54.
His death was confirmed by his legal representative, John Sloss, though the cause of death has not yet been disclosed.
Katt was born on May 11, 1970, in South Dakota, and had a prolific career as a character actor. He made his mark with director Richard Linklater, particularly in Dazed and Confused (1993), where he played the bully Clint Bruno.

His career also included notable roles in Steven Soderbergh’s Full Frontal (2002) and the 2013 film Behind the Candelabra. Katt was praised for his fearless and often darkly humorous performances.
He also appeared in other high-profile films like The Limey (1999) and A Time to Kill (1996), and was part of the cast of Christopher Nolan’s Insomnia (2002).
On television, he starred in the Fox series Boston Public for its first three seasons, where he played Harry Senate, a teacher who connected with his students.
