You may have heard that TikTok stars Nicky Champa and Pierre Boo announced their divorce earlier this summer and recently opened up directly to fans about the unexpected end to their relationship.
The two dated for over six years and got married in August 2022. Less than a year later, the popular content creators told Out that things “got a little complicated” as their relationship “became a brand.”
In a YouTube video they made together confirming their breakup, Boo explained, “We felt responsible for what we had created together.” And it is like social media has added another layer of people who cannot listen to their inner voices and needs.”
Nick Champa and Pierre Crespeau, a gay couple on TikTok, first met during a movie audition in Hollywood way back in 2017. Their connection was so strong that they made up their mind to live together; that was just a month after they started dating.
However, their social media success is not the only reason their relationships do not work out.
Champa has previously suggested to Out that their nine-year age difference played a role in their growing separation, and that seems to be reflected here.
“At some point, you are either going to get closer to each other, or you are going to move away from each other,” he says. “And I think we realized a year ago that our growth path was going in a different direction. We have different priorities, different wants and needs, and that is okay. ”
In the video, there are moments when strong emotions are shown. Towards the end, Champa makes a promise that he will continue being friends with Boo, and he thanks him for the seven years they have shared. He opened up to his fans how thankful he is for the journey they have had, and he is happy to see where their lives will take them in the future.
How Did Nick and Pierre Come to Meet?
They became friends when they met at a movie tryout. Afterward, they went on a date. Pierre remembered calling Nicky before another tryout and asking for help with their lines.
Nicky told a magazine that he was nervous about the date, but it turned out well. About a month after they started dating, they decided to live together.
Pierre, that is otherwise known as Pierre Boo, made it known publicly that he had gone through many difficult breakups before coming to know Nick, and it has made him lose his hope in finding a fairy-tale relationship.
Yes, Pierre and Nick Were Married Officially
TikTok stars and celebrities Nicky Champa and Pierre Boo are officially a couple. The pair reportedly tied the knot in Las Vegas in August, according to a report from TMZ, which obtained a copy of the happy couple’s marriage certificate.
Adorably, they took each other’s last names. The two popular social media influencers have been a couple since 2017 and regularly publish videos sharing their lives on sharing platforms Instagram and TikTok. Champa recently talked about his coming out experience on TikTok.
He described the experience as traumatic and accurate, as he fell through the glass and needed 100 stitches on his butt. He came to visit his mother during a hospital visit. His relationship at that time quickly broke down, but the story took a happy turn when he soon met “that French guy,” and they quickly struck up a relationship.
Is Nicky Champa and Pierre Boo Parting Ways for Real?
Pierre Boo and Nicky Champa, that gained popularity by sharing their relationship with their millions of followers on TikTok have chosen to end their marriage just before their one-year anniversary.
Nicky Ciampa and Pierre Bou recently posted a YouTube video explaining why they decided to separate after their wedding in August 2022.
“It is a little bit complicated when we bring it down to social media. “Our relationship has obviously become a brand,” Ciampa tells us openly about his and Boo’s decision.
He went further to say:
“I want to make it clear that I have nothing but love and respect for this person. I spent my 20s with this person. I grew up with this person.” He is a special person to me and will always be special on my side.
The 27-year-old cited a nine-year age difference with Boo (Boo is 36) and the stable pressure to sprout into a social media star as contributing factors to the end of their relationship.
“I think the older he becomes, the more aware he becomes of things,” he said. “Partly as a result of the social media aspect, people are consistently comparing themselves and under pressure to maintain that image. I tell people It has almost turned out to be an episode of Black Mirror.”
“It was like we felt trapped by the ideology that this is what we became,” he continued. “I can only speak for myself. I lost myself incredibly in this relationship. I sacrificed a lot for this relationship.
I am committed to this relationship and the brand we have built. I think at this stage in my life, I had to choose myself first. And I think (Pierre) had to do the same thing, and that is the direction we are heading.”
