Arc Raiders has crossed another major commercial milestone, with Nexon confirming that Embark Studios’ extraction shooter has sold more than 16.3 million units since its October 30, 2025 launch. However, the publisher says sales momentum is now “normalizing” more than nine months after release, providing an important update on the game’s commercial trajectory.
According to Nexon’s Q2 2026 earnings report, Arc Raiders generated ¥18.3 billion ($114.9 million) in revenue during the quarter after selling another 800,000 copies. The game has now generated more than ¥88 billion ($552.8 million) in cumulative revenue, making it a major contributor to Nexon’s latest results.
Arc Raiders Sales Are Slowing Naturally After a Strong Launch
Nexon’s description of Arc Raiders’ sales momentum as “normalizing” does not indicate that the game has suddenly become unsuccessful. Instead, the wording reflects the expected slowdown that follows a major launch period, particularly after a game has already sold more than 16 million copies.
The earnings report specifically states that sales momentum is normalizing more than nine months after launch. With another 800,000 units sold during Q2, Arc Raiders continues to generate substantial revenue despite moving further away from its initial release window.

The game’s performance has also become strategically important to Nexon. In its earnings materials, the company described Arc Raiders as more than a one-off success, saying the game demonstrates a potentially repeatable approach for creating titles capable of breaking through in Western markets dominated by established franchises.
The next major test will arrive in October with Frozen Trail, which Nexon describes as Arc Raiders’ largest content update since launch. The publisher expects the update to “re-energize” the game’s existing player base while attracting new players, making it an important opportunity to counter the natural post-launch normalization in sales.
Nexon also revealed that Arc Raiders received a Closed Alpha Test in China during July through a partnership with Tencent. The test exceeded the company’s registration targets and reportedly received positive feedback regarding localization quality, suggesting that Nexon is continuing to explore opportunities for the game in additional markets.
With 16.3 million units sold and more major content on the way, Arc Raiders remains one of Nexon’s most significant recent successes. The October update will now be closely watched to see whether Frozen Trail can generate another surge in player activity and sales.
