About Dandadan
“Dandadan is a manga from Japan made by Yukinobu Tatsu. It’s been appearing on Shueisha’s Shōnen Jump+ app and website since April 2021.
By January 2024, there were already 13 tankobon volumes collecting its chapters. Now, there’s some exciting news: an anime version is on the way.
It’s being produced by Science Saru and is scheduled to start airing in October 2024. Before “Dandadan” started being published, Yukinobu Tatsu worked as an assistant for Tatsuki Fujimoto’s “Chainsaw Man” and Yuji Kaku’s “Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku.”
The decision to serialize “Dandadan” was made during a meeting for Shōnen Jump+ in the second quarter of 2020.
However, Tatsu didn’t start working on “Dandadan” until after “Chainsaw Man” and “Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku” were finished because he wanted to finish his work as an assistant first.
“Dandadan” is both written and illustrated by Yukinobu Tatsu. It started appearing in Shueisha’s Shōnen Jump+ app and website on April 6, 2021.
Shueisha has been putting together its chapters into separate tankōbon volumes. The first volume hit the shelves on August 4, 2021. Up until January 4, 2024, a total of 13 volumes have been released.
The series is available in both English and Spanish on Shueisha’s Manga Plus platform. Additionally, it’s published in English on Viz Media’s Shonen Jump website.
In February 2022, Viz Media revealed that they obtained the license to publish the series in print. The first volume hit the shelves on October 11 of the same year.
