Crossovers are fun, dramatic, and especially cute when they follow the chibi art. One of the best anime crossovers to ever have been created, the Isekai Quartet movie release date is out and we are already feeling the excitement overflow through the fandoms. The popularity of the Isekai genre has never been underestimated. Over the years there have been multiple Isekai anime to make it to the top ten of several anime fans’ lists. So what would happen if these favourites gathered together in the same world? Well, the answer to the question was clear with the release of Isekai Quartet.
The first Isekai Quartet anime came out in 2019 which was followed by a second season. It features anime characters from six animated light novel series published by Kadokawa. These anime involved light novels are KonoSuba, Overlord, Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World, and Saga of Tanya the Evil which was later joined by The Rising of the Shield Hero and Cautious Hero: The Hero Is Overpowered but Overly Cautious. A third season, as well as an anime movie, have not only been confirmed but the Isekai Quartet movie release date has also been announced.
An official statement brings forth new cast members, returning staff, and the plot of the movie along with an uploaded trailer. Here is what we know so far.
Isekai Quartet Movie Plot
The chibi animation of popular isekai works Overlord, KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World!, Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World, The Saga of Tanya the Evil, The Rising of the Shield Hero will be featured in the upcoming Isekai Quartet movie. The staff who have been leading the chibi Isekai anime will once again bring back the crossover anime of 5 different world light novels! In the movie, the Isekai-ed characters are once again Isekai-ed into a whole new world.
A wormhole appears in Classroom Two leading to the transfer of the students to another world. They arrive at a chaotic land that is dominated by Golems. They meet a female Golem, much like Megumi. The protagonists gather, confused about whatever is happening. Subaru, Tanya, Ainz, Naofumi, and Kazuma must find a way to escape this land and return to their own world. Another adventurous chibi journey begins!
Isekai Quartet Movie Release Date
The Isekai Quartet movie was announced earlier. As of March 2022, it was announced that the movie will be officially released on June 10 (Friday) in Japanese theatres. It is animated by Studio Puyukai. There has been no announcement regarding the Isekai Quartet movie’s international release or its Blu Ray opening.

Isekai Quartet Official Trailer
The official trailer of the Isekai Quartet movie was released on 18 March 2022. It gives us a brief look at all the characters that will be making an appearance in the upcoming movie. Additionally, it also reveals two new characters and their corresponding Japanese voice actors.
Cast
The movie will bring back all the previous voice actors to resume their roles. This includes Satoshi Hino as Ainz, Yumi Hara as Albedo, Sumire Uesaka as Shalltear, Emiri Kato as Aura, Yumi Uchiyama as Mare and Puck, Masayuki Kato as Demiurge, Kenta Miyake as Cocytus, Jun Fukushima as Kazuma, Sora Amamiya as aqua, Rie Takahashi as Megumi and Emilia, Ai Kayano as Darkness. They are further joined by Yusuke Kobayashi as Subaru and Grants, Inori Minase as Ren, Rie Murakawa as Ram, Satomi Arai as Beatrice, Aoi Yuki and Tanya, Saori Hayami as Visha, Daiki Hamano as Weiss, Kaito Ishikawa as Naofumi, Asami Seto as Raphtalia, and Rina Hidaka as Filo.
New characters included in the Isekai Quartet movie are Pantagruel, a mysterious eye-patched girl (CV: Minami Tanaka), Vera Mitrohina, a mysterious female soldier (CV; Nana Mizuki), and Alec, a mysterious man (CV: Toshiyuki Morikawa).
Staff
The Isekai Quartet movie is directed by Minoru Ashina with character designs from Minoru Takehara. Minoru Ashina is also compiling the scripts for the movie. Yu Saito is the art director of the movie with Horonobu Shinohara working on the art setting. The music composition is done by Ruka Kawada with Jin Aketagawa as the Sound director and Magic capsule as the sound producer. Kadokawa ANIMATION will distribute the movie in Japan.
