After approximately 14 years since its original broadcast, the highly anticipated anime “PANTY & STOCKING with GARTERBELT” is set to return with a new animation series in 2025. Alongside this exciting announcement, the teaser visual and title logo have been revealed, and the official website, official X, and official Instagram accounts are now live.
The official title of the new animation is “New PANTY & STOCKING with GARTERBELT.” The teaser visual features PANTY and STOCKING, along with their companions BRIEF, GARTERBELT, and CHUCK, as well as their adversaries KNEESOCKS, SCANTY, and FASTENER, all gathered together. The new pop and stylish logo is sure to catch your eye.
Additionally, the main staff for the new series has been revealed, and their first talk video has been uploaded on the TRIGGER channel on YouTube. Director Hiroyuki Imaishi, series composition and concept planner Hiromi Wakabayashi, character designer and art director Shigeto Koyama, and character designer/animation director SUSHiO and Masaru Sakamoto discuss the visuals and their thoughts on the new series in the video.
TRIGGER Will Be Handling the Animation For The Series
The animation will be produced by TRIGGER, known for works such as “KILL la KILL,” the movie “PROMARE,” and “Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.” Hiroyuki Imaishi returns as the director, and Atsushi Nishigori, the original character designer for the previous series, will also return.
Hiromi Wakabayashi continues to handle the series composition. Shigeto Koyama, who worked on character design for “PROMARE,” SUSHiO, character designer for “KILL la KILL,” and Masaru Sakamoto, who designed characters for “GRIDMAN UNIVERSE” and the “SSSS.GRIDMAN” series, will be responsible for character design. Additionally, Yoh Yoshinari, a prominent creator at TRIGGER, joins as a special specialist.
Expectations are high for this new project from the globally acclaimed animation studio TRIGGER.
