Takako Shimura took to Twitter on March 21 to announce that the previously published one-shot manga Futari de Hitorigurashi (Living Alone Together) will be receiving a regular serialization. The series will debut in the spring issue of Bungeishunju’s Bunshun Woman magazine, released on the same day.
The manga follows the daily lives of two women who are neighbors living the single lifestyle. Bungeishunju originally published the one-shot in the magazine’s fifth-anniversary issue on December 22.
Shimura also recently revealed the Koiiji spinoff manga Hatsukoi no Tsugi (What’s Next After First Love), set to begin serialization in Kodansha’s Kiss magazine starting April 25. Additionally, a new manga by Shimura will launch in the 70th issue of Shodensha’s OnBLUE boys-love magazine, also on April 25.
Previously, Shimura created the Awajima Hyakkei manga, which debuted in Ohta Publishing’s PocoPoco online magazine in July 2011 before moving to Ohta Web Comic. The series concluded with the release of its fourth compiled volume in August 2022.

Her Happy-Go-Lucky Days (Dōnika Naru Hibi) manga served as the inspiration for an anime film that premiered in Japan in October 2020.
