A new anime adaptation is on the way for the light novel series Playing Death Games to Put Food on the Table.
The announcement came with a special video narrated by voice actress Rie Takahashi, which showcases the series’ main character, Yuki.
In the video, viewers get a preview of the intense and deadly games Yuki has participated in throughout the series.
The anime’s cast, crew, and release date will be revealed in the future. The series, created by Yushi Ukai and illustrated by Nekometaru, will have its ninth volume published in Japan on September 25.
It also has a manga adaptation being serialized in Kadokawa Shoten’s Comp Ace magazine. Yen Press is responsible for the English version of the light novel series.
In Playing Death Games to Put Food on the Table, Yuki finds herself in a strange mansion, dressed as a maid along with five other girls.
The mansion is filled with deadly traps, and the only way to survive is to handle through these dangerous games.
While this plan is terrifying for the others, Yuki is actually skilled in surviving such situations, as playing these deadly games is how she makes a living at just seventeen.
