On Twitter, Brashaad Mayweather has cleared up his previous comment regarding the production schedule of Netflix’s live-action adaptation of “One Piece.”
Mayweather clarified that his earlier statement was merely speculative, and Netflix has not yet made any decisions regarding a third season of the series.
Despite this clarification, it’s evident that Netflix’s “One Piece” is far from reaching its conclusion. Since its debut last year, the live-action adaptation has defied expectations and become one of Netflix’s most-watched original series.
Following the success of its first season, a second season was swiftly ordered. However, Mayweather’s recent comments during an interview have sparked speculation about the possibility of filming seasons two and three back-to-back.
One Piece Actor on Netflix Teases Season 3 Confirmation
In the interview, Mayweather, who portrayed Patty in the first season, hinted at the potential filming of two consecutive seasons.
He mentioned, “We’ll see if they flash back to its because they’re filming two seasons – season two and three – back to back starting soon. So we’ll see what happens.”
While this revelation has stirred excitement among fans, it’s important to note that Netflix has only officially announced a second season of “One Piece.”
The streaming giant has not confirmed any plans for a third season. Given the success of the series, it seems unlikely that Netflix would keep such news under wraps. However, until further clarification is provided by Netflix or other official sources, fans are left to speculate about the future of the series.

For now, fans eagerly anticipate the upcoming second season, which will go into the Arabasta saga following the East Blue saga covered in the first season.
Production for season two is reportedly set to commence this summer, with June marking the beginning of the anticipated filming process.
Despite the uncertainty surrounding future seasons, fans remain hopeful for the continuation of “One Piece” on Netflix.
The series, based on Eiichiro Oda’s immensely popular manga, follows the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy as he sets out to become the king of the pirates and uncover the legendary treasure known as the “One Piece.”
