The Canadian leg of Neil Young’s highly anticipated Love Earth Tour witnessed overwhelming demand for tickets. Consequently, additional dates were revealed on Thursday, featuring a performance at Fort Calgary on July 20, followed by a show at Edmonton’s Fan Park in the Ice District on July 21.
Young embarks on the Love Earth Tour with his long-standing backing band, Crazy Horse, marking over five decades of collaboration. Originally slated for just one Canadian stop in Toronto, the tour now extends to additional dates in Winnipeg, Calgary, and Edmonton, before concluding in Burnaby, B.C. on July 23, following its kickoff in San Diego on April 24.
In addition to their live performances, Neil Young and Crazy Horse are set to release a new record this spring, celebrating their illustrious musical journey together. Titled “FU##IN’ UP,” the album was recorded in 2023 and features nine songs emblematic of their historic partnership.
A special limited edition colored vinyl, two-LP set will be released by Reprise Records on April 20 for Record Store Day, followed by a full-format release on April 26.
“In the spirit, it’s offered … made this for the Horse lovers. I can’t stop it. The horse is runnin’. What a ride we have. I don’t want to mess with the vibe. I am so happy to have this to share,” Young shared in the announcement of new tour dates.
The only single released thus far is a powerful rendition of “Broken Circle (Over and Over),” characterized by searing, grungy guitars that showcase Young’s distinctive voice and the band’s harmonies, echoing their rich musical legacy.
Renowned for his advocacy for social justice, Neil Young prioritizes the welfare of his fans during tours and album releases.
