WWE Superstar Naomi expressed her emotions in a tearful message following her impactful comeback at the Royal Rumble Premium Live Event.
The 36-year-old, who joined World Wrestling Entertainment in 2009, initially showcased her skills in the company’s developmental territory, Florida Championship Wrestling.
Making her main roster debut in 2012, Naomi steadily rose to prominence, securing multiple titles and establishing herself as one of the top female wrestlers in the Stamford-based promotion.
Nevertheless, on the May 16, 2022, episode of Monday Night RAW, Naomi departed WWE alongside Sasha Banks, now recognized as Mercedes Mone, reportedly due to a creative dispute.
In 2023, the former SmackDown Women’s Champion transitioned to Total Nonstop Action/IMPACT Wrestling, securing the Knockouts World Champion title. Naomi’s highly anticipated comeback to WWE occurred during the Women’s Royal Rumble Match.
Following the event, the 36-year-old expressed her emotions on Twitter, feeling overwhelmed and extending gratitude to the fans for their warm welcome. “I don’t think I have any tears left lol. Thank you all for the warm embrace. It feels really good! #RoyalRumble,” Naomi tweeted.
Naomi Admitted To Feeling Scared Before Her Return To WWE
In a digital exclusive interview, Naomi discussed her WWE return, revealing her apprehension due to uncertainty about the crowd’s reaction. The former SmackDown Women’s Champion expressed happiness witnessing the fans’ excitement upon her return.
“I did. It was hard to hold back all of the emotions. It felt really good, after this little journey I’ve been on, to finally be back, and that is the scary part: you never know what that reaction or response is. So, to feel that, man,” she said.
Fans speculate Naomi joining forces with her real-life husband Jimmy Uso, in The Bloodline. The company’s plans for her future are yet to be revealed.
