Namgoong Min is in talks to star in a new JTBC drama about a divorced lawyer. The actor was last seen in the hit mysterious Kdrama The Veil, and his fans would love to see him transform into a lawyer. Namgoong Min’s agency representatives also shared a statement regarding the actor’s casting offer in JTBC’s new drama dubbed “Sacred Divorce.”
Sacred Divorce (literal translation) is based on a popular webtoon, which reflects on the life of Shin Sung Han. Shin Sung Han is a 45-year-old divorce lawyer who helps various families solve their problems.
Besides JTBC’s offer for Sacred Divorce, Namgoong Min is in talks to star in SBS’s “1000 Won Lawyer” (literal title). One way or another, fans might get to see Namgoong Min turn into a lawyer for his next project.
Namgoong Min In Talks To Star in JTBC’s New Drama- Sacred Divorce
On 7 February, OSEN shared that Namgoong Min will be starring in JTBC’s upcoming drama. In response to the claim, 935 Entertainment confirmed that, indeed, the actor had received an offer. Also, he is currently reviewing it with the other offers he has received.
The actor is offered to play the leading role, Shin Sung Han. His character is born and raised in an affluent family, making everyone envious of his upbringing and background. However, due to a certain life event, he passed the final bar exam at the age of 39 and decided to become a divorce specialist lawyer.
As per JTBC, Sacred Divorce will be broadcast in 2023. Since the drama is in pre-production, the crew is initially finalizing the cast. Yoo Young Ah of “Bel Ami” and “Thirty-Nine” will serve as the screenwriter.
Namgoong Min is one of the finest actors in the industry, with multiple hit projects under his name. His latest The Veil was an immediate hit among the audience. Other dramas include Hot Stove League, Doctor Prisoner, The Undateables, Good Manager, and more. He will also be seen in Doctor Prisoner 2.
