In the previous chapter of My Roommate Isn’t From This World, a young man is seen talking about the horrible dormitory he lived in that was provided by the University and his bad experience living with the seniors he did not even know.

The dormitory had a shared sink and bathroom, so he decided to move out to a new apartment where he could have some privacy and quiet. Upon reaching their destination, the guy notices that the building is quite old and rundown, but the insides of the apartment look much more attractive, and even the rent is quite cheap.

The man who was escorting the young guy did not step inside the house but allowed him to look at the apartment as much as he wanted. The university student asks the man who rented this place before him, and the man gives a short cryptic answer that it was a student from the same university.
