With the episodes coming in hot, the plot of My Lovely Liar is gaining momentum even faster than before. My Lovely Liar Episode 12 is releasing soon, and along with being a much-anticipated part of the story, this episode will also bring with it many answers- and perhaps even more questions.
The previous episode saw several characters of the story coming together at unexpected points- from Shyaon and Chihoon meeting again to both Doha and Solhee’s mothers making an appearance, and the plot only thickens from here.
The preview of Episode 11 already sent everyone for a whirl, but the actual episode itself was more than a rollercoaster. From some really funny moments to rather intense and heavy incidents, it has left the audience waiting eagerly for My Lovely Liar Episode 12.
My Lovely Liar is a Korean drama that premiered on the 31st of July, 2023. It airs on the television network tvN every week on Mondays and Tuesdays, with a total of 16 episodes and a runtime of about 60 minutes.
Let’s take a look at all the ups and downs that the last episode of My Lovely Liar threw at us, as well as what we can expect from the episodes that are yet to come.
Everything That Happened Till Episode 12 of My Lovely Liar
It’s safe to say that Episode 11 was truly wild. Just as we thought we could tie up some loose ends, the show has taken a sudden turn, which has left us all guessing. It starts exactly where the last episode left off, with a group of three men digging in the middle of the forest.
Startlingly, they discover human bones at the site and call in the chief of police, who happens to be with Gangmin at the time. The two rush to spot and they both make their own important discoveries.
The chief finds Doha’s ring with the skeleton, and Gangmin uses his deduction skills to point out that the remains are probably Eomji’s. It is important to note, however, that Gangmin knows his superior is hiding something from him.
There are troubles galore with all the characters, but especially so at J Entertainment. After a touching moment with Chihoon, Syaon tells Deukchan that she wants to take a break. Though he complies, anyone can tell that that was the last straw for Deukchan and that he’s really pissed off.
He fires Doha, declares Syaon’s hiatus, and disbands the company’s boyband Atlantis, all in one breath to his employees. Understandably, Atlantis’ lead singer, Ethan, is in tears afterward, and all the employees’ hard work is thrown for a toss.
On the other hand, we also see Doha and Solhee’s small friend group enter some slightly choppy waters. The two finally announce their own relationship, and everyone coos at how cute and pure they are together. Another relationship is also revealed, which, in due time, proves to be…less pure.
There’s a lovely moment between Solhee and Doha at Oasis after the club is closed. She sits with him at the piano, in silence and in the purple light of the neon signs, as he teaches her the beauty of ‘The Chopsticks March’ and how to play it.
The whole time, though, Solhee could not help but look at him with a soft yet sad gaze. Doha picks up on this and asks her, but she has no definite answer to give him.
As the scene switches to the police chief, we see him in cahoots with Doha’s mother, doing everything they can to steer his name away from the murder case. Despite everything, Doha is called in for questioning, though the chief does end up manipulating that as well.
If that wasn’t enough, the journalists back home kept stirring the pot, especially after Doha’s face was revealed in a video from the music festival. People actually do recognize him from five years ago, and the views start shooting up like crazy.
What makes this episode important, though, is Eomho and how he deals with these revelations. Once it is confirmed that the remains are Eomji’s, he is inconsolable. The man is seen to be devastated, grief-stricken at seeing the skeleton of his sister, whom he had raised himself. At this point, he is fully convinced that Doha was killed, and nothing sways him from it.
Acquiring Doha’s address, Eomho turns up quite literally at his doorstep, at his apartment. The only one there is Solhee, worrying about Doha and waiting for him to come back from the seaside.
A knife in hand, he rings the doorbell to no answer, as Doha has just returned and is parking his car downstairs. Just as Eomho turns away, we see his knife stabbing someone in the stomach, bloodied hands clutching the weapon lodged deep in their side. Whew.
My Lovely Liar Episode 12: Preview
The preview for the next episode is just as intense, the last one having left us on a cliffhanger and all. Take a moment to check it out for yourself.

This clip brings a lot of new information to the table. We see Doha being mobbed by the media, meaning that, most likely, his real identity is revealed, or that he decided to finally give up the ghost- or both. Solhee’s also there, though it looks like she doesn’t know what to do with herself.
Meanwhile, Eomho says something very important- that the police officers native to Hakcheon cannot be trusted. Whether he knows that there is something afoot or whether it’s simply a hunch, only time will tell.
Other things of interest- Deukchan making sure J Entertainment cut ties with Doha, a fight at the jazz club, someone in a hospital gown, and a bloody knife. All these things appear to piece together, one by one. To find out exactly how My Lovely Liar Episode 12 will hopefully reveal all.
My Lovely Liar Episode 12: Spoilers
All of these things in that short preview are actually super important to the plot. It seems that this episode will not only be a test of our wits but also a test of Solhee and Doha’s relationship (granted, the entire story has been testing them endlessly).
Another interesting aspect is that Deukchan and Doha’s mother are talking on the phone, and though here it seems like they’re talking to each other, it could also be two completely different people. And we can’t forget Chihoon, too: what role does he play in the coming episode?
