My Life as Inukai-san’s Dog Specials Episode 1 was the previous episode released for the series on March 9th, 2023 and the episode was titled The Dog Pool Party. They saw Inukai worrying about her weight and getting fat and thus to lose she decides to go swimming. Thus, she finds a public pool that also allows dogs in it. Nekotani decides to go as well even though there will be many dogs that might scare her.
Pochita goes in for a swim on his own however, he is not able to swim and nearly drowns until Inukai comes to his rescue. Thus, Inukai decides to teach Pochita how to swim. Meanwhile, Nekotani is terrified by the dogs, and eventually, one of the dogs gets loose and starts chasing her.
Terrified Nekotani who is being chased by the dog falls into the pool on top of Inukai and makes them lose their top. Inuaki retrieves Nekotani’s top while Pochita swims on his own to get the former’s top and making her proud that he could swim all on his own now.
Dog’s owner and her mother apologize for their dog terrifying Nekotani. After leaving the public pool, Inukai mention that she had fun and would like to come here back while Nekotani is displeased with the experience. After getting home, Inukai checks her weight and learns that she and Pochita both lost weight and the latter is happy to see her smile.
