In the previous episode, we saw Takato the unstoppable protagonist in Hanabusa City demonstrate his amazing power by easily killing monsters and dangerous creatures. But worries about his skills’ possible downsides start to emerge particularly the approaching risk of fatigue. The team discovers a mysterious wall-like barrier around the city forcing them to create a makeshift base in a very costly hotel.
In their new base, they meet Tachibana a classmate who got lost during a drill in the forest. There are personality problems and tensions when Tachibana presents his guards, particularly with Erika who is hesitant to provide her name. As the team gets bigger and more experienced there are arguments and Erika gets attacked by a mysterious person.
As Lisa the captain is killed and suspicions grow regarding Tachibana’s possible support the situation comes to a breaking point. It is when they encounter Tachibana that the gather learns of his extraordinary ability to control insects. Takato and the others travel to Hanabusa City in Episode 3 of “My Instant Death Ability Is So Overpowered,” where they experience a frightening number of people and monsters. Takato appears off his incredible ability by easily defeating each opponent one by one. However, it becomes unclear if he can use his strength forever and whether doing so causes him exhausted.
After they disclose security obstacles throughout the city, the group decides to check into a costly hotel. They see student Tachibana, who introduces them to his guards, Erika, Stephanie, Chelsea, Euphemia, and Lisa. Erika’s hesitation to reveal her identity causes a personal conflict through the encounter.
Unexpectedly, the situation changes when Tachibana reveals his class “Dominator,” which gives him control over lower-level entities. The gang sets the tone for the rest of the mission as they party in town after completing their first task.
Tachibana receives a warning from Feng a consultant who can assess abilities and give guidance around the dangers of students fighting among themselves. Feng stresses the need to give low-level staff greater power and discloses the secret settings of skills.
Conflicts arise as the group develops bigger and stronger such as when Erika is the target of a mysterious attacker. Suspicion regarding Tachibana’s participation grows after Lisa the captain of Tachibana’s guards is slain. When the group confronts him he displays an odd ability to control insects.
When we meet Lingyin Sage the leader of an army of undead and she introduces a zombie issue the plot takes an unexpected turn. Lingyin Sage suggests having a “zombie party,” where those who make it out can either turn into zombies or not. It gives the fantastical world they’re in an unusual twist.
As the group encounters a fresh threat and Tachibana’s true motivations become obvious tensions increase even further. As the episode comes to a close everyone is preparing for their trip to the royal capital but there’s a weird feeling that something is off.
Takato and the others find themselves in a city filled with criminals and monsters. Takato effortlessly vanquishes enemies to demonstrate his cool might.
They find a haven in an upscale hotel where they run across Tachibana a classmate, and his security team. They seem to be at odds with one another. Tachibana discloses that he can command lower-level groups, and the group discusses finishing their goal.
Feng a consultant encourages Tachibana to get low-level slaves and cautions her about arguing among students. Tensions develop, such as an assailant following Erika, and doubts intensify following Lisa’s death. There are questions about Tachibana’s ability to deal with insects.
A zombie issue is introduced when Lingyin Sage and an army of the undead take an odd turn in the plot. Lingyin Sage proposes an odd “zombie party,” in which those who make it out decide whether to turn into zombies or not.
As the group encounters a fresh threat and Tachibana’s true nature is exposed, tensions rise. Everyone is ready to leave for the royal capital at the end of the episode. we are left excited about what happens next.
