Pokémon fans in India have another animated adventure to enjoy. “My Gogoat Journey,” the fourth short from POKÉTOON Season 2, is now streaming on Pokémon’s official YouTube channels. The release is part of The Pokémon Company’s ongoing effort to expand localized content across India and other South Asian markets, making the POKÉTOON series more accessible to fans in the region.
The latest release continues Pokémon’s broader international expansion, bringing the short-form animated series to a wider audience through region-specific YouTube channels and making it easier for fans to enjoy the franchise in their local languages.
What Is My Gogoat Journey About?
My Gogoat Journey follows Julian, a quiet and straightforward boy whose day takes an unexpected turn after he encounters a mysterious Gogoat with a scar on its forehead. Without warning, the Pokémon carries Julian on its back and races through the city, beginning an adventure neither of them expected.
As they travel across rooftops, leap over buildings, and weave through busy streets, Julian gradually begins to understand the Pokémon’s purpose. The short combines fast-paced action with heartfelt storytelling, focusing on the growing trust between a reserved boy and a determined Gogoat.
The English dub features Ryan Bartley and Jenny Yokobori, joining previously released versions in Dutch, French, German, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, and both European and Latin American Spanish. The short originally premiered in Japan in October 2024 under the title Gogoat ni Notte (“Riding on Gogoat”) as part of the second season of POKÉTOON.
The Creative Team Behind the Short
My Gogoat Journey was produced by Twin Engine and ZEXCS, two studios that have worked on several entries in POKÉTOON Season 2. The short is directed by Miwa Sasaki, who also handled the storyboard and technical direction.
The screenplay was written by Yasumi Atarashi, while Shizue Kaneko, known for her work on Pokémon the Movie: The Power of Us, served as character designer and chief animation director. Together, the staff aimed to deliver a visually expressive and emotionally engaging short.
Sound direction was handled by Kisuke Koizumi, whose previous credits include Chainsaw Man. The experienced production team brings together talent from across the anime industry, contributing to the polished animation and storytelling featured in the latest POKÉTOON release.
