Covered with anger, The Empress refused to believe anything said by Canna. She slaps Canna once again by saying that Amelia only ate food that was checked for poison, which means that she must have been poisoned through the medicines.
Canna still says that she didn’t do anything, which angers the Empress even more. The Empress tells Canna to admit her guilt and then beg for forgiveness from the Imperial House.
Canna still refuses to accept a false allegation, and so the Empress puts her in jail. She orders the soldiers not to give her any food or water until she admits her guilt. Just like that, Canna gets thrown into prison with nothing but old clothes.
Canna lies on the floor and thinks of how she was treated so cruelly just because she’s an ignored duchess. She was beaten up without restraint, even when there was no concrete evidence against her. Seeing how things are, Canna believes that what she truly needs in this troubled time is power, a power that only she can possess.
Meanwhile, The Empress visits her daughter’s room to confirm with her own eyes that she has died. She breaks down after seeing her daughter’s dead body, and she begins apologizing to her as she didn’t take good care of her.
The Emperor Luke Izaberg also enters the room to check up on his wife and daughter. The Empress tries to apologize to Luke, but he replies that he already knows everything.
Luke tells The Empress that she should have never trusted Canna Valentino. He thinks that he knew the Empress was dimwitted, but he never thought she would let her daughter die.
Luke thinks that everything has already happened, so he should make good use of this opportunity to hold a trial and execute Canna as soon as possible.
The Duke of Valentino and The Duke of Addis left the kingdom for some time, and so Luke decides to take full advantage of this situation to execute Canna.
