Moon in the Day tells the story of the same unrequited lovers but from different times. The main male lead, Han Joon Oh, is a popular South Korean Entertainment industry celebrity. But he is unlike other celebrities and is very insecure about himself.
In his shoot, he makes sure he looks the best only and tries not to make any mistakes. Once he was invited to appear in a video for encouraging public service. As his inferiority complex hits him, the shoot went all wrong in simple words, very horrible.
Overthinking about his work while driving leads Han Joon Oh’s car to collide with the river. Then our female lead Kang Young Hwa who is a firefighter, jumps into the river and saves Han Joon Oh. Impressed by her bravery, Joon Oh’s representative hires her as his personal bodyguard.
Meanwhile, Han Joon Oh wakes up but with something else. A spirit possesses his body, and he could feel it. The spirit is actually of Do Ha, who was an elite officer in Joseon times. He was killed by his lover, and therefore his spirit has become vengeful.
Do Ha, whose soul woke up after waiting for 1500 years, decides to use Joon Oh’s body to take revenge against his lover. Upon seeing Kang Young Hwa, he realizes that she is the reincarnation of his lover, Han Rin Ta, who betrayed him.
Do Ha, who is inside Han Joon Oh’s body boils down to kill Han Rin Ta’s reincarnation Kang Young Hwa but everything he tries to kill her, something prevents his moves. Maybe it could be a shield of true love from the century or the love growing between Han Joon Oh and Kang Young Hwa.
