Monkey D Luffy Gear 4 – Two New Forms

Monkey D Luffy Gear 4 new form

Luffy is one of the strongest pirates in the world of One Piece right now. Luffy ate the Gomu Gomu no Mi when he was a kid, and this has given him the ability to stretch his body like rubber. While this doesn’t necessarily look strong on paper, the way Luffy uses it definitely makes it unique. Luffy has fought several strong pirates, and Marines over time. Thanks to training and battle experience, Luffy has developed a unique fighting style called
Gear technique.

It was first debuted during the Enies Lobby arc when Luffy used it on Blueno. Before the time-skip Luffy could use 2 gears, and these were Gear 2nd and Gear 3rd. Gear 2nd enhances the speed of Luffy, while Gear 3rd focused more on power.

However, none of these are strong enough to stand a chance against the elite people in the New World. This is why Luffy unleashed Gear 4th in his fight against Doflamingo. Essentially, this gear is a lot stronger, than Gear 3rd, but at the same time, it is very fast. Luffy is on a whole new level when in this form. Gear 4th is further sub-categorized into 4 known forms as of now. These are Boundman, which was revealed vs Doflamingo. Tankman: Full Version, which was revealed vs Cracker, the regular Tankman, which is still unseen, and of course, the newest addition to the Gear 4th family, Snakeman.

All of them are unique in their own ways, and they have made Luffy very powerful. But are these going to be all the forms of Gear 4th? I don’t think so.

Luffy has at least 2 more Gear 4th forms in store, and this is based on a very keen observation from when Luffy finished his two-year training at Ruskaina. After he was done with his training, there were 5 animals on Ruskaina in a picture. These were a Gorilla, an Alligator, a Snake (bow), a Tiger, and a Lion. We’ve seen Boundman, based on a Gorilla, Snakeman, based on a Snake, and Tankman based on an alligator.

This leaves us with just 2 more animals on Ruskaina that were in the picture and these are the Lion and the Tiger. This leads me to believe that Luffy has two more forms up his sleeve, Lionman, and Tigerman. I think they’ll be the Ultimate Gear 4th forms, or maybe they’ll be something that Luffy will learn in the future, and name after these two animals. The foreshadowing has been strong here, and I won’t be surprised if it actually comes true.
