The promotional video for the “Mob kara Hajimaru Tansaku Eiyūtan” light novel series has been released, unveiling the main cast, staff, and the anime’s scheduled debut in 2024.
Directed by Tomoki Kobayashi (known for works like “Utawarerumono,” “Takunomi.,” and “Akame ga KILL!”), the anime is being produced by studio Gekkō, with Starry Cube taking charge.
Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (credited for “Black Clover” and “Girls’ Last Tour”) is overseeing the series scripts, Shōko Yasuda (known for “My Happy Marriage” and “Am I Actually the Strongest?”) is the character designer, and Keiji Inai (renowned for the “Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?” franchise) is composing the music.
The anime’s cast includes Yūya Hozumi as Kaito Takagi and Kana Hanazawa as Sylphy.
In 2019, Kaito began serializing the light novel series “Mob kara Hajimaru Tansaku Eiyūtan” on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website. Hobby Japan’s HJ Bunko imprint is responsible for publishing the novels, featuring illustrations by Arumikku.
The story revolves around Kaito Takagi, a high school student characterized as a “mob” with low social status. Despite his ordinary status, he spends his days as an explorer, diligently hunting slimes in the dungeons that have appeared throughout Japan.
One fateful day, he encounters a golden slime, an unprecedented discovery. Despite his astonishment, Kaito manages to defeat the slime and acquires a rare item known as the “servant card,” capable of summoning mythical beings and valued at hundreds of millions. With this newfound power, he summons a valkyrie, a beautiful warrior maiden, and embarks on an adventure to transform himself from a mere “mob” into a true hero.
Additionally, Terio Teri launched an ongoing manga adaptation of the series in Akita Shoten’s Dokodemo Young Champion magazine in August 2021.
