He delved deeper into her consciousness and found out the truth she had hidden about her aging and her son. We are brought to another flashback where Asa tells Hulang that once she starts to take the medicine and can never stop it. If she stops her aging will accelerate and she will suffer from the pain that comes along with it. A condition that Hulang had accepted but something changed along the line, she met and raised Kengo.
Hulang realized that she liked the life she lived with Kengo and didn’t need to go down the path Asa had shown him. The beauty assassin had decided to betray Asa by not following through with his plans. Kengo was shocked to learn about the truth and that it was his final goodbye to his teacher, for the last time.
