The Spy x Family movie, titled Code: White, is gearing up for its home release. After debuting in theaters last December with a special vacation storyline for the Forger Clan, a new report has surfaced about the film’s Blu-ray release in Japan.
According to a recent product listing, Spy x Family Code: White is scheduled to release on Blu-ray and DVD on July 31st in Japan. As for a Digital HD release, details have not been disclosed yet, and there’s no confirmation on when the movie will hit shelves in the United States.
Given the success of the anime in theaters, Crunchyroll, with support from its parent company, Sony Pictures, facilitated its theatrical run. Fans can hope for a stateside home release around the winter holidays, but for now, it’s a waiting game until an update comes from the Crunchyroll team.
For those looking to catch up on Spy x Family, both seasons of the anime are available on Hulu and Crunchyroll. Here’s a brief synopsis of the series:
“Peace is in jeopardy, and secret agent Twilight faces his toughest mission yet: posing as a family man. To get close to a high-profile politician, Twilight infiltrates an elite school under the guise of a loving husband and father.
His cover seems flawless, except his wife is a deadly assassin, and neither knows the other’s true identity. The only one who does is their adopted daughter, who happens to be a telepath!”
Fans eagerly await the Spy x Family movie and can soon enjoy it at home, with the Blu-ray and DVD release in Japan on July 31st.
