Midnight Run Summary
The story of the movie Midnight Run is hilarious. Hence, I don’t want to spoil it for you, so I’ll just explain the theme, and then you can watch it on Youtube or other movie sites. At first, we are introduced to Jack Walsh, who is a bounty hunter.
Well, it is a profession where a private agent catches criminals on commission. He works under a bail bondsman named Eddie Moscone. He wants Walsh to catch an accountant Jonathan The Duke Mardukas, and bring him back to Los Angeles. Mardukas has stolen $15 million from a mob boss from Chicago named Jimmy Serrano.
Now, Eddie Moscone wants this man in 5 days, so he approaches Walsh, but this bounty hunter is in a different mood. He wants $100000 for this task, but Eddie Moscone says that the work is too easy for that much commission.
Then FBI Special Agent Mosley comes to light, and they believe that Mardukas is a perfect witness against the mob boss Jimmy. He further says that Mardukas should stay away from Jimmy. But does Walsh care? No! Instead, he steals Mosely’s FBI ID and uses it throughout his mission.
If he has an FBI ID, his work certainly becomes easier, so it can be justified. Jimmy’s henchmen offer $1 million to Walsh to send them Mardukas, but Walsh refuses to do so. The easy task of catching Mardukas gets successful in New York.
Walsh catches him and takes him to the flight, but Mardukas fakes a panic attack, because of which they have to board a train. Moscone ordered Walsh to take that witness to him in Los Angeles, but Walsh had some other plans, so the men didn’t show up there. From here, the movie gets more interesting, so you can watch it on your own.

There is a Salt River in Arizona, and since a lot of scenes were shot there so, the filmmakers chose to shoot a scene in that lake. But things didn’t work in their favor. The lake in Arizona was too cold for the actors, so the crew had to drop the idea. They shifted the filming location to New Zealand.
They went to New Zealand and shot the part where Duke was struggling in the water, and Walsh tried his best to save him. Duke was saved.
