Megan Fox has confirmed the end of her engagement with Machine Gun Kelly, though she remains mysterious about their current status.
In an episode of Alex Cooper’s “Call Her Daddy” podcast, the Jennifer’s Body star, 37, spoke about their breakup in 2023. She addressed her split from the 33-year-old rapper, known for hits like “Don’t Let Me Go.”
“I feel like everyone has such an opinion on your guys’ relationship. You got engaged, then I think it was called off, then we don’t know what’s going on with you,” the host said before asking, “How would you describe your relationship with MGK?”
Megan Fox responded by affirming the accuracy of the relationship timeline described by Cooper regarding her and Kelly, whose real name is Colson Baker. She confirmed, “all those things” have indeed happened.
“I could see them being confusing or interesting to people, and them being like, ‘What’s up?’” the actor acknowledged, noting that she did not want to dive too far into their personal life.
“What I’ve learned from being in this relationship is that it’s not for public consumption,” she added. “So I think as of now, I don’t have a comment on the status of the relationship per se.”
Fox did confirm that she and the rocker will always share a strong bond.
“What I can say is, that is what I refer to as being my ‘twin soul,’ and there will always be a tether to him no matter what,” she said.
“I can’t say what the capacity will be, but I will always be connected to him somehow. Beyond that, I’m not willing to explain.”
The “Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen” star and Machine Gun Kelly revealed their engagement in January 2022, following nearly two years of dating. Despite their public displays of affection, rumors of a breakup surfaced in February 2023.
During this period, Fox unfollowed MGK on Instagram and removed all photos with him from her account. Speculation arose that Kelly had been unfaithful with his guitarist Sophie Lloyd.
However, Fox addressed the rumors on Instagram, setting the record straight and denying the gossip.
“There has been no third party interference in this relationship of any kind. That includes, but is not limited to … actual humans, DMs, AI bots or succubus demons,” she wrote at the time.
“While I do hate to rob you of running random baseless news stories that would have been much more accurately written by ChatGPT, you need to let this story die and leave all these innocent people alone now.”
Two months later, the couple appeared to reconcile when they were seen enjoying a romantic getaway in Hawaii. Since then, they’ve been spotted displaying affection on numerous occasions, such as in Aspen in January and at the Super Bowl a month later.
Fox has been open about her challenges with the musician, disclosing in her poetry book, “Pretty Boys Are Poisonous,” last November, that she experienced a miscarriage while in a relationship with him.
The “Holiday in the Sun” star has three children, Noah (11), Bodhi (10), and Journey (7), with her former husband, Brian Austin Green.
