MBC’s upcoming drama “Bitter Sweet Hell” has released a new group poster, building anticipation for its premiere on May 24 at 9:50 p.m. KST. The black comedy stars Kim Hee Sun as Noh Young Won, Korea’s top family psychiatrist, who faces a crisis when an anonymous blackmailer threatens her career and family.
To combat this threat, Noh Young Won teams up with her mother-in-law, Hong Sa Gang (played by Lee Hye Young), a mystery novelist, to protect their family.
The newly released poster offers a look into Noh Young Won’s family dynamics and introduces a mysterious guest. The poster depicts Noh Young Won stepping out of a house-shaped hole in the wall, leaving her family behind. Her expression reveals shock as she uncovers hidden secrets within her family.
Her teenage son, Choi Do Hyun (played by DKZ’s Jaechan), and the enigmatic Lee Se Na (played by Yeonwoo) are shown with emotionless, awkward expressions, raising questions about Lee Se Na’s role in the family.
Contrasting with the tense atmosphere, Choi Jae Jin (played by Kim Nam Hee) is seen smiling brightly, while his mother, Hong Sa Gang, stands out in a striking red dress and high heels, exuding a powerful presence.
The production team of “Bitter Sweet Hell” praised the cast, stating, “Kim Hee Sun, Lee Hye Young, Kim Nam Hee, Yeonwoo, and Jaechan each have their own strong and distinct colors, and they joined forces to create a new and unique atmosphere that hasn’t been seen before.”
They further added, “Please look forward to seeing what kind of fantastic chemistry these five people will create in ‘Bitter Sweet Hell.’”
The drama will be available with subtitles on Viki, promising an intriguing mix of comedy, mystery, and family drama.
