The challenge put them to prepare food for emergency professionals, including 101 firefighters, in under 75 minutes while showing the three judges a taste in less than 25 minutes. Team Red ultimately emerged victorious. A member of Team Blue named Ryan Walker was eliminated.

Recap Of The Show
In the first episode, titled “Regional Auditions – The Northeast,” which included Daphne Oz as a guest judge, cooks from the Northeast produce their trademark dishes.
The second episode, titled “Regional Auditions – The Midwest,” continues the tryouts as chefs from the Midwest compete for a coveted spot in the top 20.
In the third episode, titled “Regional Auditions – The West,” chefs from the West compete, and each contestant gets 45 minutes to make a signature dish.
The fourth episode of “Regional Auditions – The South” wrapped up the “United Tastes of America” auditions and featured chefs from that region.
In the fifth episode, “State Fair Food,” the home cooks take on their first task: producing a dish inspired by a state fair.
The sixth episode, “Apple Mystery Box,” challenges the surviving home chefs against their first mystery box challenge.
In the seventh episode, “Trial by Fire: Field Challenge,” the home cooks are given their first team assignment when they must partner up with another chef and prepare a good meal for 101 firefighters and emergency officers.
In episode 8, titled “Birds of a Feather Mystery Box,” we saw that the cooks will take on yet another Mystery Box challenge in this cooking competition. Once again, neither the competitors nor the spectators know what to expect from it.
