The official Twitter account for the second Mashle The Stage stage play adaptation of Hajime Kōmoto’s Mashle: Magic and Muscles manga revealed four new cast members for Divine Visionaries on Wednesday, including Yoshihide Sasaki, Allen Kohatsu, Ryo Kitazono, and Shogo Yamazaki.
These new members join the previously announced cast, featuring Ryotaro Akazawa, Hiroi Yuto, Seitarō Yogayo, Takeshi James Yamada, and Misato Kawauchi.
The second stage play will run at The Galaxy Theatre in Tokyo from August 2-12 and at the AiiA 2.5 Theater Kobe in Hyogo from August 17-19, following the first stage play adaptation in July 2023.
Both Viz Media’s Shonen Jump service and Shueisha’s MANGA Plus service publish the manga digitally in English, with Viz Media also releasing the manga in print.
Shueisha describes the manga as a world of magic where a young man with no magical abilities relies on his muscular strength for protection. The anime’s first season premiered in Japan in April 2023, with Crunchyroll streaming both the subbed and dubbed versions.
The second season, Mashle: Magic and Muscles The Divine Visionary Candidate Exam Arc, began airing on January 6. The series, listed as a “complete” anime adaptation, is based on the manga that ran in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from January 2020 to July 2023.
Shueisha published the manga’s 18th and final volume, along with a fan book, in October, and the franchise includes several novels.
