Mashle: Magic and Muscles Season 2 Episode 2 will be airing this week! The first episode of Season 2 of the anime already had the viewers hooked. After the end of the previous season, Mash had lost all his magical powers.
The Academy Board of Magic couldn’t allow Mash to continue coming to the Academy now that he lost his powers, but there was still a difference in their opinions regarding his expulsion. However, Mash once again is able to prove himself after a heroic stunt in saving the host of the Divine Visionaries.
Furthermore, Mash becomes a new target for the crime syndicate Innocent Zero, They’re out for Mash’s blood, who’s warned by Abyss and told to keep his guard up as he could be attacked at any given moment.
Recap
The episode begins with a recap of how the previous season ended – with Mash’s fight against Abel and the entirety of the Cell War. The narrator tells everyone how there’s an ongoing rumor that Mash can no longer use his magic powers.
Finn along with Lemon and Dot confronts that person and tells him that the rumors are false and Mash can use magic. More students begin to apporach Mash regarding the rumor but Finn does his best to protect Mash.
Later, all of them gather to celebrate their win over Lang Dorm, but Finn was surprised to see two unexpected guests- Abel and Abyss. He further goes on to talk to Lance to ask him what he was doing, and Lance says that he bumped into the Deathrow inmates after a fight with someone from Lang Row.
Mash finds out from Abyss that a criminal from the Magic realm called Innocent Zero was going after him, and that he had gotten his powers from Innocent Zero himself. He tells Mash to keep his guard up and that Abel too once made a deal with him and borrowed Innocent Zero’s power to get more money.
When the two are done talking, students begin to gather around Mash’s room and hide in order to find out the truth behind the rumors. One of them wanted to get solid proof on whether Mash could use magic powers or not.
Mash pays a visit to the Bureau of Magic as they had found out he had been hiding the fact that he lost his magic powers. Mash is confronted by Ryoh, a Divine Visionary that there mustn’t be any favoritism in the academy, and the must give his all the get the students on his side.
He asks Mash to light up a candle, and Mash is successful in doing so, but only for a brief amount of time as it was all done manually with no magic powers. He tells Ryoh that he’ll definitely have people rooting for him through his physical power if not magic.
When Mash is about to leave, he is stopped by other Divine Visionaries, who weren’t as understanding as Ryoh. They told him that his inability to perform magic was out of bounds and he must be kicked out.
Suddenly, the main leader gets possessed by Innocent Zero, who tells the Divine Visionaries how important Mash is to the academy. He plants a magiparasite on the host and Mash rushes to remove it before Ryoh could do anything.
Unexpectedly, Mash is able to get rid of the parasite and save the man without the use of Magic. However, rather than being praised, he is again warned by one of the Visionaries Orter that he’ll pay for his crimes.
The episode ends with Ryoh stopping Orter from doing any harm to Mash, and Wahlberg and Rayne arriving at the meeting to further discuss on what to do with Mash.
