Celebrated filmmaker Martin Scorsese turned 81 years old with a lavish party.
His family gave him a cake as a surprise that was themed after his recent success on TikTok. Words like “We Slay Birthdays” were placed on top of the cake, and trendy phrases like “Tea,” “Slept On,” “Throw Shade,” and “Ick” were placed on the sides.
The director’s 24-year-old daughter, Francesca, posted a video of the birthday celebration, according to TMZ. In the video, a father and daughter could be seen praising the cake decorator’s abilities.

Best of Martin Scorsese’s movies
Martin Scorsese’s passion for filmmaking was shaped by his early love of movies, especially the films of well-known British directors Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger, also known as The Archers. He changed the title of his 1967 movie, which was originally called “I Call First,” to “Who’s That Knocking at My Door.”
Scorsese attended New York University to continue his education.
Considered by many to be one of the best gangster movies ever made, Goodfellas tells the story of a man who wants to be a gangster, gets involved with a family of mobsters, and has to deal with the consequences. Among the actors who give outstanding performances in the movie are Joe Pesci, Ray Liotta, and Robert De Niro.
The autobiography “Raging Bull” by former boxing champion Jake LaMotte was adapted into the movie Raging Bull. At the height of his career, Scorsese was able to capture LaMotta’s fierce personality, intense boxing matches, and personal struggles in a masterful manner.
Scorsese and De Niro collaborated once more, with the actor giving a superb performance as LaMotta.
At the height of Scorsese and DiCaprio’s collaboration, “The Wolf of Wall Street” depicts the life of the controversial Wall Street stockbroker Jordan Belfort, who was prosecuted for his illegal trading activities in the 1990s.
Due in large part to his outstanding performance as Jordan Belfort, DiCaprio received an Oscar nomination, which helped the movie achieve notable success at the box office.
Lily Gladstone made her screen debut this year in Martin Scorsese’s “Killers of the Flower Moon,” costarring Oscar winners Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro, and Brendan Fraser.
