Martial God Regressed To Level 2 Chapter 33 opens up in Gangnam, Seoul Divergent Guild Headquarters, where Hayeon can be seen talking on her phone. She seems more agitated than usual, and it is because her parents have once again asked her to get married. Hayeon gets mad at her father, so she just cuts the call after stating that she doesn’t want to get married.

Gayeon notices Hayeon’s unusual behavior, and so she tries to consolidate her. Instead of feeling at ease, Hayeon starts to lash out at Gayeon. Hayeon tells Gayeon that her parents made her attend an arranged date with a bald old man, which is ridiculous. I mean, Hayeon’s outburst is truly justified here because of the way her parents acted.
Gayeon silently listens to Hayeon rant about all her sufferings, and then she says that being rich doesn’t always guarantee an easy life. Hayeon feels a bit happy because she has an understanding person like Gayeon by her side.
Hayeon apologizes to Gayeon because she has suffered a lot because of her. Hayeon further adds that a talented person like Gayeon could have achieved a lot more in her life. Gayeon smiles and says that it’s fine because she truly wants to be Hayeon’s bodyguard. She adds that she can just wait till Hayeon inherits the company.
Hayeon says that instead of inheriting the company, she wants to be independent because she can free herself from her parent’s clutches and live freely. Gayeon says that all this sounds interesting, but Hayeon only has one source of income, and that is gambling.
Hayeon argues that gambling is also a type of investment, but Gayeon replies that an investment should also have returns. Hayeon replies by saying that she will soon win something. Gayeon says that it’s sad how even the Koreans are putting their money on Japan.
Gayeon says that it’s pretty clear who’s going to win the round between Korea and Japan, and Hayeon agrees. Suddenly, Hayeon receives a text message from Jihan, which leaves her in utter shock. The focus then shifts to Jihan treating Diego to some food.
Diego says that despite how happy he feels after looking at this feast, he’s still worried that it might be a bit expensive for Jihan. Jihan reassures Diego by saying that it’s okay and that Diego can just ask for anything he wants.
Diego finally takes a bite of the Korean beef and almost cries because of how good it tastes. Jihan tells Diego that he can be more casual with him, and so Diego opens up a bit. Diego says that he feels somewhat resentful because he wouldn’t be living such a pathetic life if Battle Net didn’t take away soccer’s popularity.
Jihan thinks that it is quite understandable because Diego was once a soccer star who had everything one could ever wish for, but once Battle Net got released, it took away all of soccer’s popularity. Due to this lack of attention to soccer, the governments of different countries shut down professional soccer altogether, leaving players like Diego at rock bottom.
Diego then gets on the matter at hand and asks Jihan why he wants him to become a Mage. Jihan says that Diego’s skill enhances every object that looks like a soccer ball, so he might have an item just for him.
Jihan hands over an ancient relic named Arachne’s orb to Diego. Diego realizes that this is something important, so he asks Jihan about its price. Jihan says that it’s 50 million, and Diego freaks out after hearing that. Jihan further adds that he can even provide financial aid to Diego if he just joined his guild.
Jihan is making this offer because he knows Diego was the strongest mage in the world during his time. The focus shifts to Hayeon checking her message and stressing because Jihan has announced that Korea will win against Japan, which is an almost impossible outcome.
