Marrying strangers might just not have been the best decision for some of the couples on Married At First Sight season 8, as most of them seem to be breaking apart with time. Following the penultimate dinner party, most pairs are already on the verge of leaving each other.
Channel 4’s Married At First Sight is a dating reality sort of series that has a bunch of singles being paired together with each other by “Relationship Experts” who interview them and assign partners according to their personalities.
After meeting just minutes before marrying each other, the couples have to go through a series of experiments to see if they’re compatible or not. The 8th season of MAFS UK has the most episodes we’ve seen in any season, making sure we get to see more of the couples’ behind-the-scenes interactions.
Recap
By the end of MAFS UK, we’ve seen the couples prepare and show up at the Penultimate Commitment party and the dinner following it. After Peggy found out that her partner, Georges, was sending videos of himself to others, it was the one thing that was enough to end her relationship.
Luke and Jay were removed from the MAFS experiment, while Bianca and Nathaniel left the series on their own. Even though the Luke-Jay couple were removed, they are still together outside of the show.
For the penultimate Commitment ceremony, almost all of the other couples chose to give their relationship another chance by staying within the experiment. Following this was the surprising Partner Swap, which brought out issues within couples that were doing well from the beginning.
Many hit their low points and contemplated leaving the marriage, but this was made worse at the Penultimate dinner party, where the husbands and wives made sure to bring out inconsistencies in each other’s relationships.
The anonymous letters did a great job of spreading more fire between the remaining MAFS couples. Now that we’ve almost reached the end of season 8, Married At First Sight UK will move on to the next experiment, the Homestays.

Married At First Sight (UK) Season 8 Episode 28: Spoilers
Episode 28 will be featuring the couples going on Homestays, which is something that is seen at the end of every MAFS season. Homestays involve married couples living at each other’s homes along with their parents or alone.
This gives these experimental couples the opportunity to test if their relationship would even work out in the real world or if it is just a fairytale fueled by the experiment. Living together also brings out various hidden facts about each other that the couples may not have seen before.
While living together is sure to bring some couples of MAFS season 8 together, it turns out to be the worst thing for some of the other couples, who just can’t seem to adjust to each other’s real lifestyles.
