Inspired by the original Danish show, the American reality series titled Married at First Sight is a show where complete strangers who have never met each other voluntarily agree to not just be on the show but also to be married off to another complete stranger. The producers of the show reach out to a variety of experts to be cast on the show so that they can pair up with strangers who they think will best complement each other.
While the show used to bring on-screen sexologists, sociologists, and clinical psychologists, who would eventually decide who would marry who, with the launch of the fourth season, the show brought some changes to its format and replaced the experts with communication experts and a pastor, the show has kept to its original format ever since; right after the pairs get formed, an official marriage ceremony takes place, and the show finally commences.
The couple gets to spend a night together to get to know each other as much as possible, after which they are sent on their honeymoon. The honeymoon period is always fun and heart-fluttering, but their real-life together begins when the couple reaches home to live together just as a normal couple would finally. The show lets them spend eight weeks together, after which they get to decide if they wish to be together with each other or not.
The only way for the show to end is for them to make the final decision of choosing to stay with each for longer or parting ways and going their separate ways after filing for a divorce.
Married At First Sight Season 16 Episode 21: The Plot
At the start of the previous episode of this season, we saw the couple being finally asked to make their decision on what they wish to do with their wedding. The eight weeks period has come to an end, and our couples will now be under the pressure of having a heart-to-heart talk with their partners about how the others feel.
To us, most often than not, the partners seem well suited for one another, but it is at high-pressure times like these that these couples say something so off-track it throws both the audience and their partners off. Turns out, not everybody was honestly expressing what they were feeling, and the honest talks that the couple had in the previous episode of the show forced many to rethink their already decided choice.
Each couple spends the night before the finale episode, up and talking truthfully about how they felt throughout the show with them, but neither disclosed what their actual decision would be when asked in the finale episode. This recent episode of the show will definitely have a lot of drama and confrontations, and decisions that might come as shocking to both the partners and fans of the show.
It is a sensitive time with relationships at stake, and fans are eagerly wishing and desperately hoping that the couples make the right choice. This episode will witness who finally decides to stay and who wishes to leave the marriage.
