The official MARRIAGETOXIN account announced the new promotional material on September 8, 2026, revealing the Season 2 main visual and hinting that additional characters will appear in the upcoming storyline. The announcement teased,
“Still conquering love with poison!”,
while encouraging fans to look forward to the second season.
The anime’s official website confirms that Season 2 will arrive in January 2027, although a specific premiere date has not yet been announced. The new trailer also serves as a quick recap of Gero’s progress, making it useful for viewers who want to refresh their memory before the new episodes begin.
MARRIAGETOXIN follows Gero, a deadly assassin from a poison-user clan who wants to avoid marriage. His situation changes when his family demands that his sister produce the clan’s next heir, forcing Gero to seek help from marriage swindler Mei Kinosaki.
The first season ran for 13 episodes from April 7 through June 30, 2026. Motonobu Hori directed the series atBones Filmm, with Kimiko Ueno handling series composition, while Kohei Tokuoka served as character designer and chief animation director.
The anime is based on the manga written by Joumyaku and illustrated by Yoda, which began serialization on Shonen Jump+ in April 2022. According to Crunchyroll, 18 volumes had been released in Japan as of June 2026, with VIZ Media publishing the manga in English.
Crunchyroll currently streams Season 1 across several regions, including India, North America, Europe and Southeast Asia. With the Season 2 visual now released, fans can expect more information about its exact premiere date and newly introduced characters as the January 2027 broadcast approaches.
