Mariah Carey and her 12-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan had a 1600 Pennsylvania Ave trip for a cheer event a couple of days ago. The “Butterfly” singer, along with her twins, met the guests of the day at the White House, which included the ministries of the House, and also gazed at the beautiful Christmas tree located at the White House.
Carey and her twins had visited the White House and had the pleasure of meeting President Biden and Vice President Harris. The pictures of the moments were shared by the self-proclaimed “Queen of Christmas” on her Instagram.
Mariah Carey and her twins at the White House
On Wednesday, the “Always Be My Baby” singer made an Instagram post in relation to her White House visit with the caption, “Last week I had the pleasure of meeting President Biden and Vice President Harris at the White House to ring in the holiday season!” and Carey added, “While there, we got to see all the festive decor and spread some cheer.”
The series of multiple pictures of her posts begins with the first candid one in the Oval Office, where President Biden is lining up towards his desk while Carey and her twins are standing beside him. The next was a picture of Caret standing beside President Biden, posing for.
The picture was followed by others where Carey stands beside Vice President Harris, including one where she’s sitting along with the others. The post concluded with a few pictures of the 18-foot tree, gorgeously decorated for Christmas.
The “14 City” Christmas Tour
Earlier this month, Mariah Carey talked about her “14 City” tour with PEOPLE, on which the “We Belong Together” singer said, “I’ve been working day and night on this one.” She has worked with Miss Debbie Allen on this; Allen has shown her creativity in the directory and choreography parts of the tour. Carey also teased that she was going to do some songs and duets for the first time.
“The Close My Eyes” singer also gave a bleak answer, saying that the type of songs she has planned to sing are the ones inspired by the 50s, as well as “Christmas Time Is in the Air Again,” which she sang during her pregnancy.
Carey also said, “Some songs like that will give me a melancholy feeling. But I still just soak that up because I love it so much. At the holidays, I love listening to the songs I grew up hearing.” The singer has a different bonding of love with the holiday season as her first-holiday album, “Merry Christmas.” The album was released in 1994, and since then, she has become the singer known for all-out during December.
On December 9, the Grammy winner filmed her closing night at Madison Square Garden in New York City for the “Merry Christmas One and All!” that started on November 15. The closing-night Christmas concert of Mariah Carey treated the fans to a surprise appearance by Ariana Grande and Jennifer Hudson. The trio sang together “Oh Santa,” a 2020 song of theirs, during the concert.
In relation to the surprise appearance, Hudson said, “I ended up going to New York because Miss Mariah Carey always comes up with big, great ideas” during an episode of The Jennifer Hudson Show. Hudson also mentioned the ideas Carey came up with, including her Christmas angels, which are her and Ariana Grande.
They flew out together to perform live at the concert as Carey wished, and the audience was unaware of this upcoming surprise until Carey said, “My Christmas Angels, where’s JHud? Where’s Ari?”
