Management of Novice Alchemist Episode 3 Release Date: A Monster Appeared!

Management of Novice Alchemist Episode 3 is set to release in the upcoming week. The Japanese light novel series Management of Novice Alchemist, written by Mizuho Itsuki and illustrated by Fuumi, has been serialized online since November 2018 on Shsetsuka ni Nar, a user-generated novel website. Since September 2019, Fujimi Shobo has released six manga collections under their Fujimi Fantasia Bunko imprint.

A manga serialization has been taking place through the Comic Valkyrie website since December 2020. There have been three tankōbon volumes released so far. In October 2022, an animated television series based on the manga was released by ENGI.

We see in episode 2 that even though the store needs repairs, Sarasa realizes it contains the equipment of the former owners. The overgrown garden is a herb field containing valuable plants. As Sarasa visits the general store, she meets Mrs. Elles, Sarasa’s new neighbor, and Lorea, the daughter of the store owner. Sarah struggles to socialize and becomes despondent when drunken villagers play a prank on her as Mrs. Elles shows her the village where they meet Geberk, the carpenter, Gizdo the blacksmith, the Mayor, and tavern owner Delal.

In the previous episode, we saw our heroine, she had graduated from the magical academy and was a qualified alchemist. Mistress Ophelia, her tutor, assisted her in purchasing an alchemical store at a reasonable price. However, it was a bit out of town and in pretty poor shape. Sarasa didn’t lose hope, however, and found the atelier to be well-equipped, just in need of a good scrub.

The shopkeeper in the town general store had poor social skills, so she did her best to find supplies. What she didn’t know was that the shopkeeper was the same girl who secretly saw her at Lorea’s atelier. Even at a steep discount, she was excited to meet Sarasa and get to know her more. There’s no doubt her grandpa owned Sarasa’s new atelier. In the first half of the episode, Sarasa is shown around by a woman, and she is treated well by everyone because alchemists are revered.

Despite her best efforts to balance her emotions, precisely her modesty, her concerns about what the villagers thought about her intensified after she refused to eat the local delicacy. When Mistress Ophelia visited the next day, I was delighted to be surprised. I hope we will see an episode featuring Ophelia’s famous muscles (and guns, if you know what I mean). Oh, and she also sat with Sarasa to train in combat. In my opinion, she’s not cooking bombs or potions but increasing her attack power. In addition to creating a transfer circle, Sarasa visited to convince her to stay while saving face.

It was like a mailbox in life simulations and Atelier games where potions and stuff could be sold. It hurt my Kokoro to see a lonely Sarasa cry herself to sleep twice. The next day, the villagers arrived with the bed they promised, as well as helped fix the house. Lorea heard about the prank meal they served her, so she scolded the prankster. The episode ended with Sarasa getting her first customer immediately after opening Atelier Sarasa, although it was an emergency. Hopefully, we will see more swimsuit episodes in the future. So far, I’ve been getting Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear vibes instead of RPG Real Estate. Best for me since I like the show as well. I am looking forward to the rest of this story.
