Mamma Mia 2: DVD, Blu-ray Release Date And Price

The multi starrer sequence to romance-musical Mamma Mia called as Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again was one of the most fun movies of 2018. Mamma Mia came out in 2008 originally. The second installment was in no way a lesser hit than the first one; it only scored one step behind Avengers: Infinity War at the UK box office.

After ten years, this sequel had better and more ABBA songs. Boy, should they be eternally grateful to ABBA! It did a total business of £61 million in the UK and over $400 million in the United States. Written by Ol Parker, Mamma Mia 2 follows the same old story with different twists and a bigger and better cast this time around. Besides the continuation of Mamma Mia- the original, this movie also showed us flashbacks to 1979 involving Donna Sheridan’s arrival on the island of Kalokairi. She’s also shown meeting three men, one of which would be Sophie’s father.

Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again: Plot

In this installment, Sophie is now pregnant, wondering if she can manage motherhood alone. She then is made aware of her mother, Donna’s story in a series of flashbacks. This whole movie revolves around the grand opening of Bella Donna hotel (after the death of Donna) and rediscovery of Sophie’s mother’s past.

Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again: DVD/ Blu-ray Release Date

Installment 2 to Mamma Mia was confirmed a long time ago for home release. Not only that, it was also mentioned that Mamma Mia 2 would contain additional footage in DVD/ Blu-ray versions. It was available for Digital HD watch on  Amazon Video and iTunes from October 9, 2018. Mamma Mia is rated as PG-13 and is 120 minute long. It was first released in theatre on July 20′ 2018. The DVD release is marked for October 23′ 2018. This is the same day when Blu-ray version comes out. It is initially priced at $16.95 for DVD and $22.99 for Blu-ray. The 4K UHD version is priced at $26.96 and will be out on October 23 as well.

The huge cast of Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, includes Amanda Seyfried as Sophie and Dominic Cooper as Sky, Sophie’s love interest. Colin Firth, and Pierce Brosnan in their musical comebacks as Sophie’s possible Dads, Sam and Harry. Julie Walters as Rosie. Christine Baranski as Tanya. The famous star Lily James will play a younger Donna and Cher will play Donna’s mother.
