With the 2024 NFL Draft approaching rapidly, all 32 NFL teams are finalizing their draft boards and strategizing their approaches. Wednesday holds particular significance for teams eyeing wide receivers in the first round, as LSU’s Malik Nabers showcases his skills at his pro day.
Reportedly, Nabers had dinner with the New York Giants on Tuesday night, who hold the No. 6 pick. Additionally, he met with the New England Patriots (No. 3 all around), Tennessee Titans (No. 7), and New York Jets (No. 10). Following his workout on Wednesday, Nabers is set to meet with the Arizona Cardinals (No. 3). During his pro day, Nabers will participate in the 40-yard dash and run routes for NFL teams.
In the previous college football season, Nabers emerged as one of the premier wide receivers, tallying 89 receptions for 1,569 yards and 14 touchdowns. Over his three-year tenure in Baton Rouge, he accumulated the most receptions (189) and receiving yards (3,003) in program history.
Recent discussions suggest that certain teams consider Nabers as the top wideout in this draft class, potentially surpassing Ohio State’s Marvin Harrison Jr. While there is another consensus where Harrison as the top prospect relatively, Nabers sits at No. 3 behind USC quarterback Caleb Williams.
