Love Song for Illusion tells the tragic love story of a Crown Prince and a common court lady of a royal palace set in the Joseon Era. This heart-warming love story introduces our main two characters, Crown Prince Seo Hyun and his concubine Kyera who is an assassin.
Seo Hyun is an intelligent prince who is a fashion designer at night down the street. However, Crown Prince has another personality Called Ak Hee who is charming and can seduce women with his wordplay. Kyera on the other hand have led a fallen life, she was an assassin but is now a concubine after her descendants were killed.
Kyera disguises herself as Yeon Wool and enters the royal palace as a concubine just to avenge her family. However, things turn difficult for her as she falls in love with Crown Prince Seo Hyun whom she wants to kill.
Recap
The last episode of Love Song for Illusion opens up with a mystic and serious environment. The King was found dead in his chamber by his son Sajo Hyeon. The only person he discovers in the chamber is Yeon Wol which makes Hyeon believe that she is the one responsible for King’s death.
Sajo Hyeon was reluctant to accept that Yeon Wool was the killer at the same time hearing Yeon Wool pleading continuously, he took some minutes to think. However with all proofs Hyeon orders to take away Yeon Wool to prison. Yeon Wool, on the other hand, continues to deny but no one trusts her words.
While Hyeon was mourning the death of his father, the real culprit Sajo Yung was enjoying the environment of the royal palace. It was revealed, how Sajo Yung with the use of a poisoned needle killed his father. As he knew being an illegitimate son he wouldn’t get the throne so he chose the path of bloodshed to the throne.
Hyeon ordered to exile of Yeon Wool/ Kyera. But Ak Hee who knows the truth behind King’s death decides to save his love Kyera. He enters Hyeon’s subconscious mind and tells him to not punish Kyera since she is innocent. But Hyeon doesn’t listen and proceeds with the exile of Kyera.
Ak Hee takes the matter and makes a deal with Hyeon to let him control his control. In it when Ak Hee prevents Hyeon from getting killed by Sajo Yung. He manipulates Hwang Hee into believing that he is not after the throne and that he gives up.
Ak Hee to prevent Kyera’s execution goes to prison rescues the unconscious Kyera from the prison and takes her to a small cottage. Kyera on waking up is surprised to see Crwon Priunce beside her and then she realizes it is Ak Hee who took over the Crown Prince’s body.
